MY WEEK #6 | LIFESTYLE

Hello all! This past week in the planner:

--- I started using more sticky notes! I color coded each class to a specific sticky note color (ex: art history = pink, domestic violence = blue, etc) and tried to use the same colors for the flags in the monthly view.
--- I pulled the assignments for each week from my syllabus' and pasted each sticky note in for the corresponding week.
--- I also did this for the entire month with sticky flags.

Let me know how your week was in the comments!

MY WEEK #5 | LIFESTYLE

**Click the photos to enlarge**

Hello, all! So this was the past week in the planner:

--- It was the second week of the semester so I was still figuring out how to add my classes in.
--- I currently love using the orange washi tape to show my work schedule. It's a really good way to visualize large blocks of time. (Inspired by something I saw on Pinterest HERE.)
--- I've decided to put in my classes as bulleted events (but I think I'll start using washi tape for those too).
--- The "This Week" section at the bottom just contains weekly tasks.
--- I'm using two large pieces of notepad paper to write my assignments for the week.
--- The monthly view isn't as pretty lol (a work in progress obviously) but it's simple with the use of movable sticky notes for blog posts and tasks.

Any thoughts? How was your week? :]

My Week #4 | LIFESTYLE

Hello all! Okay so here is a look at my planner this week. I'm starting to use sticky notes more and I'm still using the pink highlighter for my work schedule. I've also began adding in my school schedule. Not much happening this week but I've started checking out some cool planner organization videos on Youtube for inspiration. No stickers this week but I just purchased some washi tape too! But that's for next week ;D I'm going to try to start doing these posts every Monday.

How was your week?

My Week #3 | LIFESTYLE

Hello all! So this week was a bit of a planner fail. I admit I kind of lacked in using the planner this week. I'm currently in the first week of school so the oncoming planner weeks will be much more exciting. And I'll be getting some stickers soon too!

How was your week? :]

My Week #2 | LIFESTYLE

Hello again! So this week I took a very small step in planner decoration - highlighters! To be honest, I'm just waiting to order some cool stickers off of Etsy and I wanted to see how a little bit of decoration looked first. I know this is minuscule in comparison to some of the glam planners of the world but I'm still getting my footing with this and the primary focus of my planner is to be functional.

I think color coding is going to work well for my planner, especially since school starts back up in a week (!!!). I actually feel more prepared than ever since I have this planner and a new more focused outlook on my life. (But you never know, Mercury is retrograde...) Anyway, feel free to share planning tips or how your week went in the comments below. :]

My Week #1 | LIFESTYLE

Hello all! So I was inspired by Angela from Paper Love Story, Dee from Decade Thirty and a bullet journal enthusiast I found on Instagram named Pamela to start sharing weekly views of the layout in my planner. This is my first foray into planning as I've recently become obsessed with planner videos and spreads on YouTube and Pinterest and I'm looking to document my progress towards achieving my goals this year.

I'm also really excited to see how my planner evolves over the next couple of months. I already know I'm going to be using color coding, sticky notes, and washi tape. The next couple of months are going to be extremely busy for me, probably more hectic than ever before. I'm hoping this planner will actually help keep me sane this semester. (Trying to achieve "planner peace", ya know lol?). Just got to breathe and prepare as much as I can.

So my first week into planning was really quiet as the holidays were finishing up. I didn't have any major plans and I tried to keep everything very simple since I don't have anything huge going on. I'm looking to make it more inventive, so next week: washi tape. :]

Do you have any tips about planning?
